Installation of Service Release 2 is recommended for existing RightFax 10.0.0 deployments. It includes a number of important fixes which may be essential to the operating environment as well as a new feature. This includes:

• Support for RightFax 10.0.0 WebUtil on Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.

Definition – Current Maintenance:  OpenText will provide patches and bug fixes to any product in the Current Maintenance Support Lifecycle.

Definition – Past Maintenance:  During this stage of the product lifecycle, the following support services are still available to the customer with a valid Atticus Consulting support contract:

• Unlimited number of support request submissions through email, telephone or online
• Support request response time targets remain unchanged
• Access to online documentation
• Access to technical articles and discussions on the OpenText Knowledge Center website

In the past, End-of-Life meant no support for the product version after the EOL date.  Today, when a product is considered to be Past Maintenance, the core development team is redirected to other work, and no new Service Packs and Patches are released for general use.  Product defects and enhancement requests may still be reported, but work by the core development team on these issues will be discontinued.

On December 31, 2011, OpenText RightFax 9.3 Fax Server software will transition to Past Maintenance.  However, RightFax 9.3 customers, with a valid Atticus Consulting support contract, will continue to receive access to customer support and all available documentation.

Eligible Products

Products that can be purchased to qualify for a rebate are:

• Dialogic® Brooktrout® TR1034 Fax Boards — A high-performance intelligent fax board that offers both TDM- and IP-based fax capabilities
• Dialogic® Technology Expansion Capability (TEC) — A software license that increases the feature set on the Dialogic® Brooktrout® TR1034 Fax Boards.
• Dialogic® Brooktrout® SR140 Fax Software — Software that provides Fax over IP (FoIP) capabilities for integrating fax servers and fax management solutions with VoIP networks.

  (Please Note: Dialogic® Brooktrout® TruFax® Fax Boards are not eligible products for this program)

How Your Rebate Is Calculated

The products that you are purchasing are considered “Eligible Products”, and the products that you are replacing and sending back to Dialogic are referred to as “Trade-In Products.” A detailed list of Eligible Products and Trade-In Products is available here.

Rebates are qualified for and calculated based on the number and types of fax ports you are purchasing, as well as the number of fax ports you are trading in. To qualify for a rebate, the number of ports on the Eligible Product(s) in your order must be equal to or greater than the number of fax ports on the Trade-In Product(s) that you are trading in to Dialogic. Your rebate is calculated as $100.00 (US) per “Eligible “ port of Dialogic® Brooktrout® Fax Boards or Dialogic® Technology Expansion Capability (TEC) purchased and $50.00 (US) per “Eligible” port of Dialogic® Brooktrout® SR140 Fax Software purchased.  You may receive rebates on multiple orders of Eligible Products, provided that the Eligible Product and Trade-In Product port requirement is met for each order.

Start Date: October 1, 2011                            End Date: December 31, 2011

Form submissions must be made by January 20, 2012.

Major Release Marks 25^th Anniversary of OpenText’s Fax Server Software, Key Analyst Report Names OpenText the Industry Leader in Fax over IP

OpenText announced on June 8th that its industry-leading fax server software now includes enhanced security for sending and receiving  faxes from cloud-based office systems including Microsoft Office 365 and Google Apps with the release of OpenText RightFax 10.

As companies of all sizes look to cloud-based office application suites such as Microsoft Office 365 or Google Apps, the ability to securely send and receive faxes through these services will be critical, while also retaining integration with other parts of the organization. Adding to its cloud support, RightFax Web Access is now included with all systems, allowing users to access their RightFax server from a Web browser.

RightFax 10 marks the kick-off of the 25^th anniversary year for RightFax and represents a significant milestone in the product’s history.  In addition to enhanced support for cloud-based office systems, the new release makes it easier, faster and more secure for customers to integrate faxing into their business processes and workflows with new features such as barcode routing, searchable PDF delivery and enhanced Microsoft Outlook 2010 and Lotus Notes 8.5 integration. It also adds optional accessibility support that meets mandates under the Americans with Disabilities Act
