OpenText RightFax 10.0 Service Release 2 is Now Available!

OpenText is pleased to announce the release of RightFax 10.0.0 Service Release 2.

Installation of Service Release 2 is recommended for existing RightFax 10.0.0 deployments. It includes a number of important fixes which may be essential to the operating environment as well as a new feature. This includes:

  • Support for RightFax 10.0.0 WebUtil on Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.

OpenText RightFax 9.3 Past Maintenance December 31, 2011

On December 31, 2011, the OpenText RightFax 9.3 Fax Server software will transition from Current Maintenance software to Past Maintenance (formerly known as End-of-Life) software.

Definition – Current Maintenance:  OpenText will provide patches and bug fixes to any product in the Current Maintenance Support Lifecycle.

Definition – Past Maintenance:  During this stage of the product lifecycle, the following support services are still available to the customer with a valid Atticus Consulting support contract:

  • Unlimited number of support request submissions through email, telephone or online
  • Support request response time targets remain unchanged
  • Access to online documentation
  • Access to technical articles and discussions on the OpenText Knowledge Center website

In the past, End-of-Life meant no support for the product version after the EOL date.  Today, when a product is considered to be Past Maintenance, the core development team is redirected to other work, and no new Service Packs and Patches are released for general use.  Product defects and enhancement requests may still be reported, but work by the core development team on these issues will be discontinued.

On December 31, 2011, OpenText RightFax 9.3 Fax Server software will transition to Past Maintenance.  However, RightFax 9.3 customers, with a valid Atticus Consulting support contract, will continue to receive access to customer support and all available documentation.
